Welcome to the Nubian Roots by Toya’s online booking. This booking platform is for regular clients only so please do not share the password or any booking information with anyone. Please read the menu descriptions carefully. Doing this will avoid mistakes and give you an understanding of the billing process before booking your appointments.

Cancellation Policy

Hi, Nubie.

Thank you for booking your appointment with me. As I stive to continue to giving you quality service, please be reminded that you are expected to come to your appointment on time. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so within the 24hr time frame given. Failure to cancel within 24 hours will lead to you being charged a $100 fee at your next appointment. Failure to call and cancel your appointment on more than two occasions will lead to your appointments being rejected in the future. More than one last minute cancellation may also lead to you being blacklisted.

Please be guided accordingly.

Deposits & Payments

In the case of a client being blacklisted because of to many last minute cancellations, a deposit must be made in advance to secure the next appointment.

Rope twists

Style done using four or more lock strands to form a rope like twist hairstyle. Two strand twist are similar and are done using two loc strands only.

Loc Curls

Locs are curled using rods, curlers or lacers. To achieve same day curls, the locs has to dry completely. This requires a dry time (under the dryer) of 2-3 hours dependig on loc desnsity (thickness).

Simple style

A simple loc style examples :

Two cornrows or flat twists.
Flat twist in one.
Flat twists straight back.
Simple one and Bun, etc

Nubie Petals

Locs are folded to create a flower like hairstyle.

Loc Pinwheel

Locs are creatively styled .

Nubie Knots

Locs are styled by wrapping with one, or more than one loc strand to shorten length and form a beautiful knot style.
